Official Inauguration of “Sewage water treatment system” project will take place on 20th November 2017 in Copceac village, Gagauz ATU.

During the period of 2015-2017 FY, the Public Association “Fondul de Inovaţii Sociale din Moldova” NGO, has managed a Grant of circa 1/2 million EUR, offered by the Rotary Clubs and Districts of Germany and Belgium and The Rotary Foundation -111 584 EUR-, German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) -334 752 EUR-, the Rotary Club Düsseldorf-Pempelfort -20 000 EUR-, and the contribution from Bashkanat -363 000 MDL- for implementation of the "Sewage water treatment system" Project in Copceac village, Gagauz ATU.  MORE DETAILS 

With the financial support offered by Rotarians and GermanGovernment, there were:

  • cleaned 2 km of the existing sewerage network;
  • built new 3,4 km  external sewerage network;
  • built a Bio-type residual water treatment plant with a capacity of 98 m³/day;
  • built a pumping station;
  • connected to the sewerage network the Lyceum, Gymnasium, the Sport school, the newly built Kindergarten, the Social care and Medical Centers, Culture house, Mayor’s office, the Church, the theological seminary, Winery and Textile factories;
  • Provided access to the sewage system to at least 100 households

Significant additional contributions for extension of the water supply and sewerage networks have been provided to Copceac community by SlovakAID through the Embassy of the Slovak Republic and by EU/UNDP through SARD program. All these investments shall contribute to further infrastructure’s sustainability insurance.
